This Year, Your Attendence Makes the Difference!

This year, we’re doing something new for our Annual Meeting—a $50 bill credit for every Member who registers.

Before we get too far, here’s what you need to know: drive-thru registration will begin at 7:30 AM, and you must be registered by 1:00 PM to qualify for the $50 credit. Whether you stay for the full event or not, getting registered is key.

Of course we’ll still have all the things you’ve come to expect: door prizes, cash drawings, and chances to win throughout the day. It’s going to be a good one. But, if I’m being honest with you, the Annual Meeting has never really been about the giveaways (though they’re an awesome perk).

The Annual Meeting is about you. Because at Pioneer, you’re not just a customer—you’re a Member and that matters more this year than ever!

Most companies don’t operate like Pioneer. You pay your bill, they provide a service, and that’s about where it ends. Decisions are made somewhere else, by people you’ll probably never meet. As a cooperative, Pioneer is different.

Pioneer is owned by the people we serve. You have a voice in what happens here. You help shape the direction, you elect leadership, and you’re part of the bigger picture of where we go next!

It sounds complicated, but it’s really not… the Annual Meeting? That’s one of the simplest ways to be part of your cooperative, and this is the year you can really use your power to make change!

At this year’s annual meeting there are some important updates and changes being brought forward. In order for these changes to move ahead, we need a quorum—which is just a fancy way of saying we need enough Members participating for the vote to count.

That’s where you come in!

Whether you’ve attended before or this is your first time, your participation truly makes a difference this year. It’s not just about showing up—it’s about making sure your cooperative can continue to move forward.

Here’s a quick, simple look at what’s being voted on:

  • Quorum update: Members attending remotely will count toward quorum and voting.
  • Membership update: Clarifies that requesting communication services qualifies for Membership.
  • Member conduct policy: Allows removal of Members who engage in or threaten violence, with a formal review process.
  • Remote participation: Allows Members to attend and vote in meetings remotely (if approved).
  • Meeting notices: Adds instructions for how to join and participate remotely.
  • Accessibility options: Allows additional ways for Members to participate when needed.
  • No proxy voting: Confirms that voting must be done by the Member, not by proxy.

One of the biggest goals behind these updates is making it easier for more Members to be involved, while also keeping meetings safe, fair, and productive.

Pioneer’s success goes back into improving the network, expanding services, and continuing to invest in the communities we all call home. Even things like the $50 bill credit, the prizes, and the giveaways—they’re simply another way of returning value to the people who make this cooperative possible…. And that’s YOU!

Annual Meeting Agenda – Tuesday, May 5

  • 7:30 AM – Drive-Thru Registration Opens
  • 10:00 AM – Doors Open
  • 10:30 AM – Bingo & Prizes
  • 12:00 PM – Lunch (provided for Members)
  • 1:00 PM – Business Meeting Begins

So yes—come for the $50 bill credit. Come for the prizes. Stay for the drawings. It’s a part of giving back to you as a Member, but more than anything, we want you to come because you’re a part of this Cooperative!

We hope to see you there.
